A Trio of Poems The world is made Of steel and water Sparks too and love I believe in ammunition And the kindness of grain With the wine dark sea A goodly amount of gunpowder Solves most human problems Except sparks loaning love The wheat’s kindness And the darkness of the sea is the author of the collection The Hurricane Lamp (Otis Nebula Press, 2010). His poems have appeared in numerous journals, including Volt, Interim, Colorado Review, The Sugar House Review and Western Humanities Review where he won the Utah Writer's Prize for poetry. He has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. He lives in Salt Lake City. |
